Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring/wear to class?
No need to bring anything to your class, all your tools, equipment and cakes will be provided for you. Complimentary aprons and tea towels are part of the package to keep or to borrow depending on the class you have booked. Wear comfortable clothing and closed in footwear - no high heels and long hair should be tied back.

What can I expect in class?
Fun! Celebration Cooking classes are all about having fun as well as learning awesome new skills. Most of our classes have a maximum of six students, giving you the opportunity for lots of attention. We provide notes with step by step photographs and recipes for you to keep, making it easy for you to recreate your creation at home time and time again.

Can I take photographs during class?
Yes, absolutely! Feel free to take photographs of your cake but no filming is allowed. Photographs are for personal use only, should you wish to take photographs for commercial use such as, promotional, endorsement, advertising or merchandising purposes or reproduce the images in a book, talk directly to Jessica first.

Can I buy a gift certificate?

Can I park my car close by / what about public transport?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking in the area right next door to the school. Bus routes, 406, 428, L28, 444, 445 and 418 all run along and near New Canterbury Road. The nearest train station is Hurlstone Park.

How long do the classes go for?
Most classes run for 4-5 hours unless otherwise stated (such as the two hour workshops to two day workshops). We recommend you eat a big breakfast as we don’t stop for a lunch break! Tea, coffee, water and delicious treats and fruit are available throughout the day and there are shops near the school.

What happens if I can't make the lesson I have booked or I’m running late?
No refund is given, but you can give your booking to someone else. If you are more than 15 minutes late you may not be allowed to enter the class. Your deposit will not be refunded.

Can I buy the tools and products I used in class?
Yes, there is an order form included with your notes, you can buy tools, equipment and some food products. See Jessica on the day of your class for more information.

Can I transfer my lesson?
Yes, for a $50 transfer fee with a minimum 2 months notice.

Is private tuition available?
Yes, at $165 per hour with a minimum spend of 4 hours. A 2nd student may attended at an additional $110 per hour.

Is a discount available for group bookings?
Yes a 20% discount is offered, when a full class is booked of which is 6 to 8 students depending on which class is selected.
